Producing for the DBSA a Development Impact index which aimed to effectively measure the development impact of the DBSA’s investments, based on proposed development results and impact. The formulation of such a ranking is complex and multidimensional as a result of the context within which the Bank operates and the variety and the type of projects that the Bank finances as well as the difference in their development results.

The development of a 21 Year Review of Local Government in South Africa – this project had as its primary aim the collation of information and data to provide a diagnostic assessment of local government. This includes eight comprehensive reports on the areas affecting developmental performance, including governance, the model of governance, provision of services, financial management, sustainability and climate change and the like.

Production of a Development Monitor in 2018, 2020 and 2021 on the development impact of the DBSA in the projects it has funded across Africa, looking at overall benefits and development outputs and possible impacts.
