TRAINING & CAPACITYBUILDING SKILLS& DEVELOPMENT
City Insight’s work in training and capacity building has spanned a number of areas:
- Building the technical skills of professionals working in the built environment, to ensure that they are equipped with the latest knowledge and tools.
2. Building the capacity of local government officials to manage and implement urban development programmes.
3. Ensuring the sustainability of urban development initiatives by building the capacity of local organizations to maintain and manage development initiatives.
OURPROJECTSHAVE INCLUDED
Researching and writing up best practice case studies which showcased success stories, lessons learnt, and good practices from programmes, projects and interventions implemented within the City of Tshwane.
Co-facilitating a South African – German city peer learning network.
Research project focusing on the 4IR and the implications this has for local government skills development.
Aligning the National Skills Authority and their provincial skills forums to the District Development Model processes.
Examining the skills gaps and requirements in Coastal Management and the Marine Economy.
