URBANDEVELOPMENT
City Insight’s work in urban development includes planning and management of the built environment, with the aim of creating liveable, sustainable, and resilient urban environments that meet the needs of current and future generations. Our approach takes into account social, economic, environmental, and spatial factors, and emphasises collaboration between different stakeholders, including government, the private sector, and civil society.
Our monitoring work has included identifying emerging issues and challenges such as spatial inequality, urban management, or environmental degradation. In response we have developed policy and strategies to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address these issues.
City Insight also helps to assess progress and performance towards achieving urban development goals and objectives, such as increasing access to affordable housing or improving public transport. This information can be used to track trends over time, compare performance across different areas, and identify areas that require additional attention.
